Gospel Music Icon Kirk Franklin Electrifies Fans at BET+ Kingdom Business Season 2 Premiere

BET+ hosted a star-studded celebration event last night to celebrate the recent premiere of the second season of their popular music-driven drama, “Kingdom Business.” The event was held at the TV Academy’s Wolf Theater in Los Angeles, CA, and was hosted by Warryn Campbell, who is also a composer of the show’s soundtrack.

Guests at the event included Kingdom Business executives and show creators, as well as other celebrities such as Israel Houghton, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, and Lena Byrd Miles. Following the screening of the season’s first episode, guests were treated to a special performance by Kirk Franklin. The performance was followed by a celebratory reception.

Kingdom Business stars Yolanda Adams, Serayah, Chaundre Hall-Broomfield, Michael Jai White, and Michael Beach as series regulars and explores the gospel music industry through the lenses of family, faith, love, and the redemptive power of music. This season, the scandalous antecedent events of lust, love, and denial have caused a kingdom in chaos.

The show has been praised for its realistic portrayal of the gospel music industry, as well as its strong performances and storylines. The second season of Kingdom Business is currently streaming on BET+.

Premiere highlights included:

KINGDOM BUSINESS executives and show creators in attendance, including Kirk Franklin, Dr. Holly Carter, DeVon Franklin, Michael Van Dyke, JJ Sakamar, Kerry Lenhart, and Deb Evans. The event was hosted by Warryn Campbell, who is a composer of the KINGDOM BUSINESS soundtrack, Israel Houghton, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Lena Byrd Miles, and more attended the event. Guests were treated to a special performance by Kirk Franklin following the screening of this season’s first episode. The screening and performance were followed up with a celebratory reception.
