Latoya Nicole: Coloring Book Mogul Empowers Black Women, Launches Innovative Self-Publishing Program

Latoya Nicole, a best-selling author and trailblazing entrepreneur, has reached a remarkable milestone in her career, selling an impressive 60,000 coloring books. Her achievements, however, go beyond just sales figures. As a Black woman leading her own coloring book and supplies business, Latoya has been instrumental in promoting mental wellness and reducing anxiety, especially among Black women. Her line of skin-tone colored pencils, crafted specifically for Black women, underscores her commitment to representation and inclusivity.

Latoya’s journey began with a simple yet powerful vision. Recognizing the lack of diversity in the publishing industry, she aspired to change the narrative. Her bestseller, ‘Exhale Self Care Coloring Book,’ and eight other books are testaments to her dedication. “When I started publishing in 2018, only 11% of books published were by people of color, with Black authors being a smaller fraction,” Latoya reflects. “I wanted to change this narrative and inspire others to see the potential in creating passive income and personal freedom.”

But Latoya’s ambition extends beyond her personal success. Her latest endeavor is empowering others through her expertise in self-publishing. In 2024, she will launch ‘Book Bag University: A Roadmap to Establish and Expand Your Author Brand.’ This signature program is designed to guide both established authors and newcomers through the intricacies of online book marketing, covering everything from crafting a bestseller to building a successful author brand.

“Through my program, I’ll share the strategies that helped me succeed on platforms like Amazon. But for those new to this world, I recommend starting with my YouTube channel, Latoya Nicole Official,” she advises.

As Latoya Nicole continues to inspire and lead, her coloring books remain available for purchase on Amazon. For those interested in learning from her success, additional information and a waitlist for ‘Book Bag University’ can be found at BookBagUniversity.com. Her journey illustrates not just entrepreneurial success but the power of representation and the impact one person can have in diversifying the world of literature.
