MusiCares’ Humans of Hip Hop Returns to Chicago: Wellness & Financial Tools Empower Music Professionals

On April 28, 2025, MusiCares hosted its Humans of Hip Hop (H3) wellness clinic at Vivid Seats headquarters in Chicago, offering a comprehensive suite of health and wellness services tailored for hip hop professionals. The event underscored MusiCares’ commitment to supporting the well-being of music industry workers, particularly those in freelance and contract-based roles who often lack access to consistent healthcare.

Key Highlights of the H3 Wellness Clinic:

  • Comprehensive Health Screenings: Attendees received dental and vision check-ups, addressing the critical need for preventive care among music professionals.

  • Mental Health Support: The clinic provided resources and counseling to promote mental well-being, recognizing the unique pressures faced by those in the music industry.

  • Custom Ear Mold Fittings: To protect against hearing loss, custom ear molds were offered, emphasizing the importance of auditory health for music professionals.
