AFTERSHOCK: THE NICOLE P. BELL STORY” — A POWERFUL TRUE STORY OF LOVE, LOSS, AND JUSTICE In Theaters November 28 | Streaming on Digital Platforms December 15

A powerful and deeply emotional new film, Aftershock: The Nicole P. Bell Story, brings to light one of the most tragic and transformative real-life events in modern America — the 2006 police shooting of Sean Bell, who was killed on his wedding day. Directed by Manny Halley and executive produced by Roc Nation and Manny Halley Productions, the film captures the heartbreak, resilience, and unyielding courage of Nicole P. Bell, the woman who turned her personal tragedy into a national call for justice.

On the morning of November 25, 2006, what was supposed to be a day of joy became a devastating moment of violence when police officers fired 50 bullets at Sean Bell outside a New York nightclub, killing him and injuring his friends. He was just 23 years old. His fiancée, Nicole P. Bell, left behind to raise their children and fight for accountability, has spent nearly two decades turning grief into activism.

Aftershock: The Nicole P. Bell Story tells her journey — a story of faith, love, and activism, revealing the emotional aftermath of loss and the strength it takes to transform pain into purpose. With a powerful cast and emotionally charged storytelling, the film stands as a reminder of America’s ongoing struggle with racial injustice, police reform, and healing.

The film stars Rayven Ferrell, Bentley Green, Richard T. Jones, and Richard Lawson, each delivering raw and unforgettable performances that bring Nicole’s truth to life. The movie was produced by Imani Media Group, Faith Media Distribution, and Manny Halley Productions, with Nicole P. Bell herself serving as a producer — ensuring her voice remains front and center.

“Fifty shots ended one life — but began a movement,” says producer Manny Halley. “This story is about Nicole’s power, faith, and unbreakable love. It’s about America facing the truth of what happened that night — and the resilience that followed.”
