WEDGEDIN Magazine Announces New Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Launching an Elevated Era of Weekly Digital News

WEDGEDIN Magazine

WEDGEDIN Magazine is excited to announce a new chapter in its digital publishing journey with the appointment of Mark Winkler as Publisher and Lead Reporter/Editor and Kaleef Thompson as Editor-in-Chief. Together, the new editorial leadership team will guide WEDGEDIN into an expanded era of weekly storytelling focused on sports, entertainment, technology, business, culture, creators, and community impact.

Operating under the Lifestyle Elevation Media Foundation, Inc. (LEMF) media brand, WEDGEDIN will strengthen its commitment to original digital journalism while creating a more engaging experience for readers across generations.

A New Era for WEDGEDIN

Since its original launch in 2016 and relaunch in 2021, WEDGEDIN Magazine has served as an independent digital source highlighting community, business, culture, people, and emerging stories.

Now, the publication is evolving again.

Rather than primarily publishing monthly features, WEDGEDIN will move toward an active weekly editorial model, delivering timely stories, interviews, profiles, digital features, social media content, and multimedia reporting.

The editorial mission will place particular emphasis on audiences spanning Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X, while creating a platform where the accomplishments and perspectives of both men and women can be represented.

Mark Winkler Named Publisher

As the newly appointed Publisher and Lead Reporter/Editor, Mark Winkler will help establish the next editorial direction for WEDGEDIN Magazine.

His leadership will focus on building high-value content and identifying stories at the intersection of culture, innovation, entrepreneurship, entertainment, technology, and sports.

Mark will also help expand the publication’s relationships with creators, businesses, community leaders, innovators, athletes, entrepreneurs, entertainment professionals, and organizations whose stories deserve greater digital visibility.

His appointment represents WEDGEDIN’s commitment to strengthening its independent publishing voice while developing content designed for today’s rapidly changing media environment.

Kaleef Thompson Appointed Editor-in-Chief

Joining Mark in leading this next chapter is Kaleef Thompson, newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of WEDGEDIN Magazine.

Kaleef brings approximately a decade of experience working within the evolving world of online and digital media. His freelance reporting and creative work have included social impact, sports, technology, culture, and digital storytelling.

As Editor-in-Chief, Kaleef will help shape editorial strategy, story development, digital presentation, social media integration, and the overall reader experience.

His role will also support WEDGEDIN’s expansion into a more creator-driven and visually engaging publication designed for emerging digital audiences.

What Readers Can Expect

The next generation of WEDGEDIN will deliver an expanded editorial experience featuring:

  • Sports: athletes, major sporting events, sports culture, business, innovation, and emerging talent.
  • Entertainment: television, film, music, creators, production, personalities, and cultural trends.
  • Technology: AI, digital innovation, emerging platforms, entrepreneurs, startups, and the future of technology.
  • Business: founders, executives, brands, small businesses, leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity.
  • Culture & Creators: the people influencing conversations, communities, media, lifestyle, and the creator economy.
  • Generational Voices: meaningful stories connecting Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X through shared interests, experiences, and opportunities.

Carrying the Torch Forward

Mark Winkler and Kaleef Thompson will carry the torch for a different, better, and more elevated online media experience.

Their combined leadership will help WEDGEDIN build a publication that recognizes how audiences consume information today—across websites, social media, video, interviews, short-form storytelling, and emerging digital platforms.

The goal is not simply to publish more content. It is to create relevant, valuable, engaging, and culturally connected journalism that gives readers a reason to return every week.

WEDGEDIN Magazine is entering this next chapter with renewed energy, expanded leadership, and a commitment to elevating the people and stories shaping sports, entertainment, technology, business, and culture.

Look forward to new WEDGEDIN features every week as we move beyond monthly publishing and into an elevated, always-evolving digital news experience.
