Written and directed by Bassam Tariq, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother centers on Latif, played by Ali, a devoutly religious hitman attempting to balance three seemingly incompatible parts of his existence: his profession, his faith and his responsibility as a father.
When Latif’s wife dies, everything changes.
Grief quickly becomes intertwined with danger as he embarks on a desperate journey across Houston to protect his children. Forces begin closing in around the family, but the physical threats are only one part of Latif’s struggle. His beliefs, choices and understanding of himself are also beginning to unravel.
That conflict gives the film a deeper emotional foundation than a conventional action thriller. The central question becomes not simply whether Latif can survive, but whether he can protect his family without losing his identity, faith and humanity.

Behind the camera, Tariq serves as both writer and director. Lucan Toh, Babak Anvari and Tariq produce the film, with Brian O’Neill serving as executive producer.
