500 Ways to Celebrate Black Love begins with becoming the best version of ourselves before we attach to someone else. “Work before the Celebration” and “Wholeness before Pleasure” is our motto.
“I highlight barriers a person must remove before getting to a love romance,” she says. “I speak about what ‘love manuals’ are we leaving for our next generation? Meaning what messaging about love and marriage are we leaving for them? My book speaks of setting good love intention, which is one of the fastest ways for love to come into one’s life. I believe that loneliness or money is the purpose one must evaluate and do more work from within.”
Lisa Kimberle, curator of www.BlackDateBox.com, seeks to provide inspiration for your own black love story and couple’s goals by telling her own inspiring black love story.
“I wrote this book to inspire and empower women and men to their own very unique love destiny, using my own self-reflective journey,” says Lisa.
This book includes 500 sections with titles that include everyone’s couples goals:
* I cannot wait to show you the best version of me, the wholeness before pleasure
* At times we disagree, yet my heart persisted unstoppable energy.
* Kissed a few frogs until… I felt the natural
* We were reunited, like Peaches & Herb
* Will and Jada got it right you are not the source of your partner’s delight
* Steps to becoming the best version of ourselves comes with knowledge of thyself.
* Let us take a moment and forgive ourselves and anyone else of hurts and wrongs. We must clear out the baggage of the past.
* At the top of your head, list 10 positive “I am” truths about yourself. The point of it is to get positivity jogging.
Even though Lisa is a love coach and enthusiast, she calls this book an “ode to black love, not a blueprint.”
While keeping her own relationship details private, the book is more of an inspiration rather than a tell-all. “I actually keep my love relationships private. The purpose of this book is meant to inspire everyone no matter what relationship stage or status. I don’t want the spotlight on myself. It’s more about the reader,” she says.
500 Ways to Celebrate Black Love was written to provide a positive side from the negative statistics of articles such as “Why Marriage is for White People” and “Marriage is not for Black Women” and even the website blackwife.com, which is a porn site. So, while the world is giving us ways Black Love cannot be celebrated, 500 Ways to Celebrate Black Love is giving you reasons to celebrate it.
