New York City lit up last night as Apple TV+ honored the highly anticipated two-part documentary event Number One on the Call Sheet with a special star-studded premiere at the Crosby Street Hotel. The event brought together Hollywood heavyweights, including Kevin Hart, Alfre Woodard, John Boyega, Award-winning Directors Reginald Hudlin and Shola Lynch, and producers Datari Turner and Dan Cogan for a celebration of Black excellence in film.

Kevin Hart, one of the film’s producers and contributors, energized the crowd with his signature humor, calling the documentary “one of the best ideas I’ve ever been able to be a part of.” The excitement carried into the evening, setting the stage for the film’s global launch on Apple TV+ on March 28.

A Night of Celebration and Conversation

Following the screening, guests were treated to an insightful panel discussion featuring:

✅ Reginald Hudlin – Director, Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood
✅ Datari Turner & Dan Cogan – Producers
✅ Kelley Carter – Emmy Award-winning journalist and moderator

Panelists spoke passionately about the significance of the project, with Hudlin declaring, “This is a movie of winners. Whether you’re in the entertainment business or not, there are lessons to take from these stories.”

Meanwhile, Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Women in Hollywood was represented by Alfre Woodard and Director Shola Lynch, who will also be celebrated at a New York premiere on March 11.
